They are appliances used in substitution for missing teeth that can be full (dentures) or partial, which can be fixed or removable. The prostheses are custom made, from molds taken from the patient’s mouth. They may be uncomfortable at the start of use, and although they are not exactly the same as natural teeth, they offer better appearance and comfort compared to those used earlier.
The dentist will indicate the type of prosthesis most appropriate depending on the number of teeth to be replaced and the cost of the treatment.
